Math(s) podcasts anyone?
« on: July 24, 2012, 09:35:13 PM »
I've got a healthy variety of topics in my podcasts feeds but something's missing. I seem to have a lack of podcats about maths, and I love maths!
So, anyone can recommend a podcast about maths for the non-mathician? One that would be understandable for the layperson.

While that sounds a bit unlikely to me, I second the request...
Did I do, O CROM, did I as I said Id do? Good! I did.

This isn't an ongoing podcast. But the BBC produced about 12 or so 15 minute podcasts titled "A Brief History of Mathematics." You can find it on iTunes.

I... listened to one a few years back... it was okay... lets see if i can remember...
maybe it was this one?
Titanium Physicists has a pro-bee-analogy agenda. That's certainly no secret.

Report:
It's cool but each episode is only 5 minutes long which is waaay to short for my 2-3 hours daily commute :\

Googling around I came up with this list: http://mathoverflow.net/questions/2507/mathematical-podcasts-audio
I'll check them out.

I've discovered a good one: More or Less. It's a radio program from the BBC focused on statistics. So far I'm enjoying it as the stats nerd I am.
