Citizen Science: Cyclone Center
« on: September 28, 2012, 01:01:14 PM »
I love citizen science projects. They tap into a vast network of people eager to work for free while also engaging the public with the process of science.
From the creators of GalaxyZoo (the first project of this kind maybe?): Cyclone Center.

You basically go though satellite images of storms and cyclones and classify them in various ways. There are some rough edges in the interface but it's still fun. Also, I'm learning a thing or two about this things, which is good, being the thing I'm studying :P
