If you're on the fence about seeing Baraka, i'd skip it and go straight to Koyyanisqatsi, it's better. Burn one or don't.

oh my gosh
i tried to watch zeitgeist because we had talked about it
and i had 20 minutes to burn before a party
it's SO BAD
like. it's just SO BAD

bethany's reaction was the most accurate
"i'm going to burn netflix down. I'm breaking out in hives. I think i'm alergic to bad information"

nothing's
NOTHING is worse than halfbaked theories, and misrepresenting otherwise interesting facts to support your ramblings.

Titanium Physicists has a pro-bee-analogy agenda. That's certainly no secret.

"but it's better to have some people speak directly to the physics,
than to leave a vacuum, and have it filled by movies like "what the bleep do we know?!"

I would argue that it's just as important to know that we don't know something as it is to have a grasp on positive knowledge. Letting pseudoscience fill the gaps is far more dangerous than learning to deal with ignorance by filling those gaps with curiosity.

Indeed.
I agree.
but context is everything, especially when we're trying to describe ignorance,
and without a broader sense of the context,
we're just making people extra-double-ignorant.

heh.

(i wrote that paragraph just so that i could say "extra-double-ignorant")
