Bilbies are pretty cute, and hardly little marsupials. They live in desert regions of Australia and are omnivores.
Bilbies are currently endangered, mainly due to the introduction of foreign species into Australia, such as cats and rabbits.

The coolest thing about a bilby is how they move around - it looks like their front and back ends don't communicate. They hop with their back legs but use their front legs independently so they end up in a kind of loping limping canter.  Although when they decide to move in a hurry they just get hopping.

Oh and they love mealy worms - they eat them so enthusiastically you can almost hear them go OM NOM NOM NOM!
